PEMA Training Directive

I am pleased to share with you the new emergency management certification program directive. This has been a long time in the making and I want to thank the advisory committee of local, county and commonwealth emergency management staff that worked on this project. I want to let you know that this directive will become active on November 7, 2011 and the previous directive 2003-05 will be terminated on November 7, 2012. The reason the old directive will be in place for another year is to allow anyone who is currently working on a certification level in the previous directive the time to finish the level they are working on. If an individual is a new emergency management employee or volunteer they will start the new certification program, as well as, if an individual wants to start a new certification level the new directive will be followed. Below you will find the new checklists for sign off through the process.
